It's David!

David Campbell

David is a colourful, eloquent and popular ambassador for Scotland. Taking his skills learned as a flamboyant teacher of English and as an innovative and imaginative producer of BBC Radio programmes, David graduated to his Third career as storyteller.

A habitual wearer of his native garb - once described by a Times journalist as 'the only man brave enough to ride a motorbike wearing his kilt.' David's warmth and infectious love of life enter the texture of his telling, drawing audiences of every age and clime into the age-old magic of his craft. His conviction is that, 'Inside everyone is a child waiting to hear a story.'

His extensive repertoire of traditional tales is gathered from his upbringing in Northeast Scotland, his friendship with highlanders, islanders and such master-storytellers from Scotland's Travelling People as Duncan Williamson.

He has published three books of stories for children and carried his lore of traditional tales worldwide from the Arctic Circle to the Antipodes.
